Which all new bikes Hero is going to launch in 2021.

Hi there, two-wheeler enthusiasts and readers and we welcome you to yet another article at Motorbhai. We hope you are in pink of your health and doing extremely fine. In the previous article, we talked about the upcoming two-wheelers by Royal Enfield in India launching this year, and taking this series forward, we would be telling you about all the new launches by not only the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India but in the world as well, which is none other than Hero MotoCorp.

Hero as a brand does not need any introduction as already mentioned, it is the largest manufacturer in India and has a market share of approximately 37%. And to increase this market share in India considerably in the coming years, Hero has some great plans for the Indian market with a slew of launches planned for this year. So, without further wasting any time let us get started and tell you about all the exciting launches!

1. Hero Xtreme 200R

Expected to be launched in August this year, The Xtreme 200R will be quite similar to the Hero Xtreme Sports in terms of styling with a few sharp cuts and body graphics differentiating it and would be competing directly to the likes of say the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, the Yamaha FZ25, and the TVS Apache RTR.

What we are particularly excited about in this bike is an all-new 199.6cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which has been developed in-house at the Hero’s plant in Jaipur which will produce 18.4PS of power at 8000rpm and 17.1Nm of torque at 6500rpm and will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Hero says the engine is potent enough to reach 0-60 Kmph in less than 5 seconds and is claiming a top speed of 114 Kmph with a fuel economy of around 40Kmpl.

On the safety front, the Hero Xtreme 200R will come standard with single-channel ABS, which has not been seen in any Hero bike, and front and rear disc brakes.
Expect the pricing of this street sports bike to be anywhere around ₹ 95,000 (Ex-Showroom) at the time of launch. And it would be interesting to see how Hero does things differently to make the Xtreme 200R a success, as there are already accomplished rivals in this segment.

  1. Hero Maestro Electric

The Maestro 110, on which the E Maestro would be based

As we all know, that sadly electromobility is the way to go in the future, not only in the two-wheeler segment but Automobiles as well and following which, Hero would be launching the Maestro electric in October this year for which they have also partnered with Gogoro’s battery-swapping tech which is a Taiwan-based company.

Hero had previously announced its partnership with Gogoro to produce their future electric vehicles line-up along with their fixed and swappable batteries in the vehicle. But sadly, due to nationwide lockdown and the Corona pandemic, the research work for the Maestro had been halted and the time of launch could be shifted by few months too. No details in specific have been revealed by Hero about the Electric variant but the price has been speculated to be close to around ₹1,00,000. Currently, there are no competitors to the Maestro electric, and it would be a completely new segment.

Well, it would be interesting to see if Hero would be able to bring the electric infrastructure in India and adapt to it with its electric range and how well the market responds to it.

  1. Hero Xtreme 160S

One of the most awaited launches by Hero in India must be the Xtreme 160s which is a sports tourer bike. Powered by a 163cc Air-cooled, 4 Stroke 2 Valve Single cylinder OHC engine which is capable of producing max power of 15.3 PS @ 8500 RPM and max torque of 14 Nm @ 6500 RPM. Expect it to be somewhat like the Karizma but with a smaller engine.

Will get features like front and rear disc brakes and single-channel ABS on the safety front. Expect the front suspension to be Telescopic and the rear one to be a 7-step rider-adjustable mono-shock. Expect the pricing to be close to ₹ Lakh and the launch is supposed to be in October 2021.

  1. Hero ADV 450

The most awaited launch from Hero which we are personally excited about is the ADV 450 which would be an adventure sports tourer and we have not seen such a powerful machine from Hero before. Specifications have not been revealed as such but it is going to powered by a 450cc single- cylinder engine which would produce power up to 50PS and would be priced around ₹2.20 lakh. We will update you with the specifications as soon as it released by Hero. Until now, the launch is expected by the end of this year. Stay connected in this space as we would be updating you with the complete overview of the bike. Hero already has the Xpulse in its adventure tourer segment.
